CIRUGÍA, MITO O REALIDAD Y OTROS TRATAMIENTOS MÉDICOS
Empezó siendo una minúscula rama de la medicina, básica para reconstrucciones funcionales determinadas, y pasó a convertirse en un lujo al alcance de muy pocos, y, en la marca de identidad de grandes estrellas del celuloide. Pero, lo que para muchos era una ostentación, en pocos años derivó en una necesidad de bienestar que a día de hoy no entiende de clases sociales. La evolución ha sido muy rápida, y del mismo modo las técnicas y procedimientos médicos han progresado adecuadamente a pasos agigantados. La palabra quirófano ha cambiado de significado. El temor ha derivado en garantía de felicidad y autoestima personal.
El presente pasa por un futuro inmediato en el que no cesan las investigaciónes para lanzar al mercado tratamientos menos invasivos, y mejorar las cirugías convencionales gracias a nuevas técnicas con las que se consigue acortar los tiempos de recuperación, disimular cicatrices hasta hacerlas casi invisibles y un sin fin de soluciones acordes a la armonia natural de la belleza, sin tener que pasar por quirófano. Sin embargo, pese a este cambio de mentalidad y filosofía, todavía se escuchan muchas voces en contra, y contradictorias a esta especialidad de la medicina.

Los milagros no existen, y mucho menos van adoptar vida propia en forma de implante o bisturí. Hagamos por tanto caer en primer lugar el mito de que una liposucción sirve para bajar de peso. Totalmente falso. Es una cirugía que tiene por objetivo eliminar exceso de grasa localizada en determinadas zonas, sirve para modelar la figura pero eso no significa que haga desaparecer esos quilos de más. No es sinónimo de dieta expres, si no el inicio de nuevos hábitos de vida saludable que ayuden a mantener la armonía conseguida con esta técnica. Esto implica un postoperatorio adecuado para que los resultados sean óptimos y visibles. Pauta a seguir por casi todos los públicos, entre los que se encuentra el masculino.
